The Gauge 3 Society
We will be holding a meeting at the Silk Mill Museum in Derby on Saturday 30th October.

Meeting starts at 10:30 am.

The museum have several things of interest to us.

David White of Slaters will give a talk on “The development of Slaters Plastikard”, during which he will describe the stages they go through in producing a new kit.  This is particularly relevant as three of their kits in development right now are Gauge 3, so we can pin him down as to what they will be, when, how much and what else he can offer us for Gauge 3!  Slaters do a great deal of production in-house and could be useful beyond their proposed kits.  For example, they will be quoting for a batch of built-up crank axles for "Venture".

After the talk we will look around the museum and the well-known model railway, which we hope may even be in action.  We are trying to arrange a peep behind the scenes of this but it may depend on whether enough members turn up to make it worthwhile.

Entry to the Museum is free but it would seem appropriate to make a small donation towards one of their current projects.

To book your place please contact the Chairman as soon as possible.
