Right, you have shed a lot of sweat (hopefully, not too much blood and tears) and now have the basis of your new railway laid out amongst the flora and fauna of your estate!
You have built (or may have purchased, ready-made) your locos and stock and are ready to sit back, with a glass of your favourite 'tipple', and watch the trains thunder by!
If you are running on battery power or with radio control, you have, of course, remembered to charge the batteries....haven't you?
If you are using live track, you will have ensured that you have a plug-in RCCB 'power-breaker' safety device connected to your mains transformer supply (or that your domestic distribution box has an in-built RCCB).
If you are lucky enough to have a steam-powered loco you will have thoroughly studied the instructions to avoid causing damage or risking injury through misuse of that valuable asset.
Oh...and you have remembered to join The Gauge 3 Society, haven't you? After all, you will want an appreciative audience to attend your 'open days', bring their own models, admire your handiwork and help run your railway!

In fact, now you are contemplating building your new railway, joining The Gauge 3 Society will ensure you have access to the advice and experience which can be given by those who have 'trodden the path' before you.
Happy planning and I look forward to visiting your new railway.
