Williams Models is the second largest supplier of Gauge 3 wagon and carriage kits and parts (only GRS offering a larger range of kits).

Mike Williams specialises in pre-group vans, open wagons and carriages.

The reputation of Williams Models is built upon the high quality and high accuracy of the components which go into these distinctive models which are easy to assemble (the body, solebar, headstocks of the wagon kits ... and in some cases roof...are a single highly-detailed resin casting). A magazine review described the LNWR D32 van as being of 'museum quality' but that was a compliment as to the fine detail and accuracy and should not be taken to mean they should be cosseted : Far from it, these models are designed to stand up to the rigours of a garden railway!

Models currently available include LNWR, GNR, and GER vans and wagons, together with a P.O. 7-plank coal wagon. The wagon range is expanding with more from other railways expected in the very near future including GWR, LBSC, and LSWR vans. The GWR dia.V6 'Iron Mink' will be the next new release, around the end of 2009/early 2010.

Recently released is the first of a range of LNWR carriages, in etched brass with a laser-cut steel underframe, being a 6-wheeled 5-compartment full third to D297. This is another 'museum quality' kit priced at 385GBPounds .

Scratchbuilders and 'kit-bashers' will find the range of buffers, axleboxes, springs, W-irons, brake gear and other components invaluable.
