The Gauge ‘3’ S01 track standard was originally developed by the founding Members of the Society, as guidance for Society
Members to help them achieve safe & reliable running both on their own and (as importantly) on other Members tracks.
The S01 standard was slightly revised in May 2010 but remains largely the same as the original 1990 version. More recently, the S02 Clearance standard has been added to assist Members in this area. Although the track standards are not mandatory, they are recommended. You can download copies of the track standards below.
